Airfield Rana is famous and historical site for gliding. Two runways (850 and 750 m long) are situated very near to hill Rana with a good slope for flying up to 5 gliders. This on slope flying is very good for days without thermic. For this case all the year round gliding traffic is at Rana. During summer a normal thermic weather is here.

Airspace above our airfield is with no limitation. So all gliders can fly up FL 95, except the southern direction where TMA Prague Class C begins. Aeroclub Rana is owner of airfield and all buildings. We have one Zlin 226 MS aerotowing aircraft. We have a winch Herkules III also. Except this, there are 19 gliders (some of them are historical uniques) and one TMG Vivat in our hangars. On account of this we have very small place in our hangars, but there is no problem to stand outside of some of our Blaniks making such a place for your gliders.

There is no problem to come with own caravans or tents. We have a nice place within trees and grass. At the building built in brick we offer one apartman for four and two ones for two people, each of them with own lavatory and shower and one room with 8 beds. At wooden building we offer three rooms with up 20 beds.
